Tagaytay is a favorite destination for couples looking for some R&R. With its extensive menu of dining and recreational options, the city continues to attract its fair share of couples, regardless of lifestyle and budget. Best of all, Tagaytay is easily accessible for commuters, being a two-hour trip from Metro Manila. We’ve also heard that a trip to the city always manages to revitalize a relationship, giving couples the perfect venue to reconnect and just plain have fun.
We’ve narrowed down to five the must-visit places for you and your SO (Significant Other), at anytime of the year.
Skyranch. What better way to get your partner to hang on to you as you swing furiously like a pendulum while riding the Super Viking? Twofies with a panoramic view of Taal Lake is best while riding the country’s tallest ferris wheel, the Sky Eye. And when you get hungry, there are a row of restaurants to choose from. We recommend the Red Burger at the Red Engine.
Cafe Carmencita. Cozy, intimate, with to-die-for dishes and superb cakes all made in the cafe’s kitchens from family recipes handed down from generations, Cafe Carmencita is one dating place that is worth your travel time. Do come in the evenings when the place glows even more romantically with a thousand fairy lights.
Cafe Veranda. Taal Vista Hotel has been closely associated linked to Tagaytay since it was built over 70 years ago. And inside this stately landmark hotel is the bright and spacious Veranda Restaurant featuring Filipino and Continental dishes. Enjoying a sumptuous lunch with the vista of Taal Volcano right before your eyes never gets old. And after your meal, take a stroll (HHWW of course — holding hands while walking) in the manicured gardens or visit their gift shop and bakery for items to bring home.
Picnic Grove. Somethings remain classic. Like visiting Picnic Grove to have a picnic with your honey or ride horses side by side. You can even try the Zipline for added adventure. Watching the colors of the sky change during sunset is another way to make your date in Tagaytay very, very special.
Zipline at the Picnic Grove
View Park Hotel Tagaytay. After visiting Picnic Grove, cross the street and check in at View Park Hotel Tagaytay. One of the few places in the city that offers a great deal (imagine a comfortable stay for only 2k for two, breakfast included) and you can indulge in relaxing activities such as an hour of massage or a dip in the pool. Ask for their KTV package if exercising your vocal chords is your idea of a perfect date night. The hotel is also a few steps away from Our Lady of Manaoag if a more quiet time is in your joint agenda.
Poolside at the View.
Tagaytay remains an exciting destination for couples who want time off from everyday life to appreciate each other all over again. Schedule a trip soon with the one you the love best.
